For a custom-made part to be truly high-quality, its journey to the customer must be as responsible as its manufacturing process. At Rototip, it’s our responsibility to our customers, our partners, and the world we all share. This is a core part of our commitment to building a more sustainable supply chain for our partners across Europe.
That’s why we’ve been tracking and reflecting on our shipping-related emissions. We analyze data around the carbon footprint of our shipments across Europe. It helps us stay accountable and make more informed choices about how we deliver parts and how we do our part.

Our Data-Driven Approach to Emissions
To ensure our analysis is accurate and comprehensive, we use a system that provides detailed emissions data that is compliant with the GLEC Framework and ISO 14083, with its methodology independently verified by SGS.
This allows us to monitor several critical performance indicators, including:
CO₂ emissions per shipment: We track the total "Well-to-Wheel" (WtW) emissions, which cover the entire lifecycle from fuel production to final delivery
Emission Intensity: We measure our efficiency by analyzing Emissions per Kilo (EpK) and Emissions per Shipment (EpS)
Transport Mode Impact: Our analysis details the emissions from air and road transport, as well as first and last-mile pickup and delivery services.
Clean last-mile delivery share: We monitor the percentage of shipments picked up or delivered using clean energy, such as electric vehicles or bikes.
This provides us with a clearer picture of where we stand today and where we can make improvements.
What It Means for You
We recognize that many of our customers are developing sustainable technologies in various fields, including energy, mobility, agriculture, and automation. And while parts may be small, the systems they power often aim for a big environmental impact.
By minimizing waste, improving production efficiency, and reducing transport-related emissions where possible, we align our operations with the values of the companies we serve.
What Comes Next
We’re not claiming to be perfect. But we are committed to progress.
That means:
Consolidating shipments when possible to reduce unnecessary trips
Increasing our share of clean, last-mile delivery options.
Continuing to track and learn from our emissions data
Providing transparency for customers who want to understand the carbon impact of their supply chain.
